Christmas is Here!
And so is our elf. Aptly named: "Elf". Christmas traditions are so much more fun this year because it's the first year that Isla TRULY gets it. This year she didn't even cry when she went to see Santa, and she actually told him what she wanted... but more on that later.
The day after Thanksgiving Elf made his first appearance along with our Christmas tree and the rest of our decorations. I absolutely love this time of year, and even though decorating can sometimes be a pain, it is SO worth it.
Daddy took Isla to the movies with Wes and Nash to see Wreck em Ralph. This made it much easier to decorate as I only had one little kiddo tugging on my leg. We also have a company that comes and decorates the outside of our house, so we didn't have to worry about that, and the eventual trip to the emergency room that it would bring.
This year we decided not to put the tree in our entry way, so instead of our normal 10-12 foot tree we downgraded to a 7-9 foot tree. I LOVE it. The kids also have a small tree upstairs in the Rec Room that has colored lights and their homemade ornaments. On Christmas Eve elf picks a gift to put under their tree and they get to open it. I love Christmas traditions!
