A Visit from Aunt Jessie and Gabey
Aunt Jessie and Gabey came to visit a couple of weeks ago. We haven't seen them since last May so were super excited for their visit. I was especially interested to see how Isla and Gabe interacted. We quickly found out that they were two peas in a pod, and Jessie was Isla's new best friend. It may have had something to do with the copious amount of makeup that Jessie put on Isla every chance she got :). We are so thankful to have gotten the time to spend with you guys, and can't wait to see you again!
Jessie claims that frozen waffles are the best thing for teething babies... It doesn't look like Holden agrees.
That night we went to La Centerra for some ice cream and an outdoor concert. The kids were so excited! Isla really wanted to hold Gabe's hand, and he was being so gentle with her. As you can see here most of the evening was spent with Isla dragging Gabe by the hand.
As soon as the kids heard the music they wanted to dance - Isla grabbed Gabes hand and they got to it.
The next morning Gabe helped me wake Isla up If anyone has ever tried to wake Isla up, you know that it's sometimes a two-person job. Then, I took her to school while Jessie stayed home with Gabe and Holden.
While Isla was at school Jess, Gabe, Holden and I went to the Houston Children's Museum.
A couple months ago someone ordered some quilts off of Jessie's website and had them delivered to the Houston Children's Museum. She thought that they were probably just a personal order that someone had delivered to work. It turns out someone ordered these quilts to display as part of an exhibit at the Museum. I have to say I am pretty proud of my little sister!
That night we went to All Star Family Grill for dinner. We met Wes and Lyndsay and their adorable little boy Nash.
Jessie claims that this is Gabe's first ice cream cone, however, he looks like a pro to me!
