Weekend at the Lake

One of our favorite times up at the lake is the Fall when things finally start to cool off after very long and hot Summers.

Austin is absolutely booming with new tech moving in everyday, bringing with it all sorts of cool new spots and places to explore; and on this weekend in late September, we did just that. We started the day with a cool and windy boat ride.

Lake Travis is a really long and windy lake, stretching over 65 miles and we’ve only motored down a small bit of it.

After the boat ride we headed down to Central Machine Works. We had made a reservation (mandatory during the pandemic) and planned to sit outside to keep everything as safe as possible.

Not only is it a really cool spot with a great atmosphere, the drinks are phenomenal. The BlackBerry smash is a must try!

We ended the day hanging around at home before heading back to Katy the next morning.

Dolly even got a puppicino when we stopped for coffee on the way home.
