A Thanksgiving to Remember

2020 brought us a lot of changes in traditions, and amendments to our normal holiday activities… this years Friendsgiving was no exception.

As we all know cases started to ramp up in the Fall after a relatively quiet-ish (by national standards) Summer season. Luckily, we live in South Texas, and more likely than not, Thanksgiving brings us beautiful weather. Because of this, we decided to go ahead with our usual Friendsgiving traditions with a few safety protocols put into place.

  1. Temperature checks by Dolly and Isla as you enter the home…

I have to be truthful here and admit that these didn’t last all day long. Fortunately we trust all our friends to be safe and follow health expert and CDC guidelines if they are feeling sick.

2. The majority of the get together was planned for outside, but masks were required for inside.

Okay… so maybe there was a little breaking of rule #2, but it was mostly followed.

We were extra thankful after such an unprecedented year, and even more grateful to be able to spend the day with those we hold near and dear.
