NASA

Its embarrassing to admit, but we’ve lived in Houston for TEN years, and never, not once in those years have we visited NASA.

It’s not even like space type things don’t interest us… because THEY DO!!! Its just one of those things that we never got around to. We finally decided to take advantage on a cold day in January.

We didn't realize that so much of the tour involves an outdoor trolley. Needless to say we will plan better for our next trip ;).

The actual size of the rockets was truly awesome….

Theres two different trolley tours that you can take. We opted for the one that would take us into Mission Control. If I remember correctly, it was also the shorter tour, and like I mentioned - it was pretty cold!

and being in Mission Control was a nerdy dream come true. The craziest part of it all was how much of it has been left unchanged. They certainly don’t spend their money on the aesthetics of the campus. It felt like you were watching the movie “Hidden Figures”.

There were a lot of fun indoor exhibits and rides that the kids really enjoyed as well.

We will definitely be back to visit the many spots we didn’t get to check out on our first visit. Really fun to have something like this in our backyard.
