Cheng gets Hitched // Raleigh, NC

This day has been a long time coming, and to say we were excited to be included in such a big way in Cheng’s wedding to the lovely Yvonne was an understatement. Jordan was not only the Best Man, but would also be officiating the nuptials after receiving his certification online earlier in the year. Isla was beside herself to be asked to be a junior bridesmaid, and was taking her duties and title extremely seriously.

We were however, slightly anxious about traveling to a wedding with Holden, but luckily we were sharing an Airbnb with Jordan’s parents and as always they were a HUGE help.

The flight went off as well as expected and we arrived in Raleigh just in time for the tip off of the UNC game during the ACC tournament.

However, these guys were so excited to see each other that not a lot of the game was actually watched once I finally figured out the houses cable system.

The next day we had some people to see and things to explore, so despite the rain and cool temperatures we headed out and made the best of it.

Uncle Cheng stopped by to say “hi” before we left for Chapel Hill…

Of course we needed a family picture in front of the old house…

That night Jordan’s parents watched the kids while we grabbed dinner and some drinks with Jordan’s friends from High School.

The next morning was wedding day. We started off with a fabulous brunch downtown before bidding goodbye to Jordan and Isla for mandatory wedding prep.

To say Isla was excited would be a GIANT understatement.

It was an absolutely beautiful wedding with a enchanting couple. It may have taken a while to get here, but it was well worth the wait. All our best to Cheng and Yvonne - we can’t wait to make more memories together!!!

Of course no wedding post would be complete without some photo booth outtakes… Enjoy ;)

The flight home went well. Isla did some Kumon homework and made a new friend who was traveling alone. We were all tired by the end of it, but of course, super excited to get back to Dolly!
