Bathtime
It's been a while since I've taken the camera out to photograph the kids in the tub. Truthfully, bath time is usually Jordan's thing, but after a long afternoon, I decided to throw the kids into a bubble bath early one evening. I was hoping to kill some time, and avoid anymore messes before bedtime. In an attempt to brighten my mood I also grabbed my camera.
The bathtub is one of my favorite places to take pictures of my kids. For one, they are contained, and their options for avoiding my lens are limited. Secondly, I've always loved the colors and the lack of clutter that bathtub pictures convey, at the end of the day the bathtub is usually one of the only spots in the house untouched by dirty messy little fingers. Finally, theres something about making bubbles in the tub - it transforms a normal every day bath into something magical.
The sound of the water bothers Holden, but I couldn't resist capturing pictures of his reaction. He just looks so cute!
You know what? Taking pictures of this bubble bath
did
make me feel better. I mean, who doesn't love bubbles on a bare baby butt?
